Patient and Family Advisory Council

WhidbeyHealth formed its first ever Patient and Family Advisory Council in December 2015. The purpose of the council is to provide a bridge between patients, their families, hospital staff and the community to improve patient care and experience.

The council's members were selected from a strong pool of applicants, all of whom have had experience as WhidbeyHealth patients or who have provided support to family members when they were hospitalized. The biggest common denominator among the group is that they all have an extraordinary commitment to their community healthcare system.

The council meets once per month at the medical center with Chief Nursing Officer Linda Gipson, PhD.
