WhidbeyHealth Foundation

The WhidbeyHealth Foundation was established in 1981 as a qualified non-profit corporation and was then known as the Whidbey General Hospital Foundation. But, although our name has changed, our goal remains to support the medical center, our clinics and community health efforts through public awareness and the development and management of charitable resources.

Since its inception, gifts to the Foundation from individuals, organizations and businesses have enabled us to support high-quality clinical, emergency, inpatient and outpatient medical services for all members of our Whidbey Island communities.

The Foundation seeks support for WhidbeyHealth through a variety of programs and activities that include:

  • Outreach to community donors who support our annual or deferred giving programs
  • Active participation of employees in the payroll giving program
  • Tour de Whidbey, the Foundation's annual fundraising cycle event.

At right, Volunteer and Events Coordinator, Heather Zustiak (center) receives a donation of books from Coupeville Library Manager, Leslie Franzen and Monica Haselbauer, Friends of the Coupeville Library Treasurer, for WhidbeyHealth Medical Center's Patient Companion Program.
