Robert Tearse MD

 

Dr. Robert Tearse began his practice as a sleep medicine specialist at WhidbeyHealth Sleep Care Goldie Road in November 2016.

Tearse, formerly of Emerald Sleep Disorders Center in Eugene, Oregon, worked as a sleep care specialist in Eugene for 34 years.

Tearse also worked as a neurologist in 1982, but became interested in sleep disorders and, in 1990, helped create the Sleep Disorders Center at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene, serving as its initial medical director.   

Tearse is a member of the American Association of Sleep Medicine, American Medical Association and Oregon Medical Association.

WhidbeyHealth Sleep Care is a department of WhidbeyHealth Medical Center.

Patient Care Philosophy

Scope of Care

  • Diagnosis of common sleep disorders including sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs, shift work sleep disorder and narcolepsy.
  • In-lab and home sleep testing
  • OSA treatments including cpap, dental appliances and surgery
