Heart of a Woman

The Heart of a Woman program provides Heartwise screenings at no cost to Whidbey Island women who otherwise could not afford them.

Fighting Heart Disease

Cardiac disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. WhidbeyHealth Medical Center is helping reduce the risk of heart disease in our community by offering "Heartwise" cholesterol, blood sugar and triglyceride screenings.

These screenings are available at no charge to Whidbey Island women with a financial need, thanks to the Heart of a Woman Program, which is sponsored by Soroptimist International of Coupeville, Oak Harbor and South Whidbey in partnership with WhidbeyHealth.

Screenings are offered the first  Tuesday of each month from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. by appointment at WhidbeyHealth Medical Center.
