Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL)

New class for senior falls prevention taught by certified SAIL instructor Rae Hicks has spots remaining. The class meets from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays (the 10:45 a.m. class is full) in the old Conference Rooms A/B on the first floor of the old, original hospital in Coupeville. Please take Birch Street, park in back and go in through the cafe doors and look for "Old Conference Rooms" on the signs. Registration for this class is required.

“SAIL” is a senior falls prevention exercise program recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Senior falls are the number one PREVENTABLE cause of injury, disability and death to those 65 years and older. Exercise is the best way to decrease senior falls.

When: 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays

Where: WhidbeyHealth Medical Center old Conference Room A. Use the Birch Street entrance and park near the café. Enter to through the cafe doors.

Cost: FREE. Funding provided by WhidbeyHealth EMS through the Foundation.

Register:  Due to limited space, this class requires pre-registration. Call the EMS office at 360.914.3171 prior to attending to determine if we can fit you in.
