This is part of a series of updates for the community regarding vaccinations for COVID-19.
“Everything about the response to the coronavirus pandemic remains a constantly changing landscape, especially information about distribution and administration of vaccinations,” said Erin Wooley, Chief Nursing Officer. “We will be publishing regular updates to keep everyone informed.”
Here are some key things to know regarding the Phase 1a vaccination effort at WhidbeyHealth:
- Effective Monday, 1.4.2021: Phase 1a Vaccine Clinic will operate Monday – Friday 2:00pm – 8:00pm (1400-2000) and Saturdays 10:00am – 12:00pm (1000 – 1200). We will be closed on Sundays (for now).
- Calls and emails have been made to re-book vaccine recipients who had appointments earlier than 2:00pm.
- WhidbeyHealth/Island County Department of Public Health will continue Washington Department of Health guidance on vaccine eligibility. We remain in Phase 1a of vaccine allocations. When we progress into other Phases of the State’s vaccine allocation plan, we will message broadly to our community.
See current information on the phased approach here.
“While this is an exciting phase in our fight against COVID-19, I cannot stress enough the importance of precautions,” Wooley said. “Everyone should follow advise related to gatherings, wearing masks, distancing, and frequent hand-washing.”
