THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!

The coronavirus is changing our lives in unimaginable ways. Unlike a storm or even a natural disaster, this pandemic has been unrelenting, requiring a sustained response under extraordinary circumstances.

Whidbey Islanders have risen to the challenge - with their time, their talents and the resources needed to keep us healthy as individuals and as a community.

Thanks to the generous contributions from donors across the island our COVID-19 Response Fund raised over $360,000 to meet the most urgent needs as the pandemic struck. We have been able to provide key equipment and training in the fight against the Coronavirus here on Whidbey Island.

a campaign with a single goal:
a healthier Whidbey Island.

FUTURE READY

FUTURE READY

Unfortunately we're not out of the woods.

COVID-19 is still with us. As we head indoors and into flu season, the risks are higher than ever.

Additional PPE, masks, testing and tracing equipment, respirators and other critical supplies are needed.

We need to make sure our frontline workers have what they need to keep us all safe and healthy as possible through the holidays and beyond.

IMPACT - PROTECTION

THE IMPACT OF YOUR GIFT

//whidbeyhealth.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/HaloSystem.jpg

Your generosity has made it possible for us to mobilize funds to meet critical needs like:

PROTECTION

  • Portable respirators that protect our EMS responders, doctors and nurses from exposure to the COVID-19 virus
  • Halo Systems – machines that use dry misting hydrogen peroxide to disinfect contained spaces like an ambulance, a patient room, or an operating room. The mist gets into all of the areas that a wipe-down cannot reach
Sterilize and Sanitize

STERILZE AND SANITIZE

  • Negative Airflow Systems; two installed in specialized patient rooms, and two portable units for flexible use throughout the hospital and clinics.
  • A new, Gold-Standard Sterilization System for all endoscopy equipment, to ensure the highest possible degree of safety for our patients undergoing invasive procedures

TESTING AND ISOLATION
https://whidbeyhealth.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Lablocations-resize-300x300.jpg

TESTING AND ISOLATION

  • Rapid testing equipment for our lab to get results of testing for coronavirus and 21 other respiratory viruses accurately when minutes matter
  • A 14-bed patient tent with isolation capacity. The tent with HVAC becomes an inde-pendent wing in which patients with infectious illnesses can be cared for while being isolated from the main hospital structure. Beyond COVID-19, this tent upgrades the Medical Center’s disaster.

THANK YOU!

So THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
