Emergency Medicine
WhidbeyHealth Emergency Department

Jeannette Miller is an acute care trained nurse practitioner who has a background of practice in the ICU and emergency department settings of academic teaching hospitals, as well as the smaller community-based settings of rural urgent care and emergency medicine. Her goal is to ensure that all patients who present to the emergency department are met with exceptional care that not only meets a standard of high-quality health care, but also makes them feel empowered, supported and comforted.

Patient Care Philosophy:  I believe that healthcare is a right and not a privilege. Overall health is a spectrum and the emergency department is often the first point of access for many individuals. My goal is to help treat the acute illness and injury and then help the patient access further care by collaboration with primary care providers and collaboration with specialists. Science, intuition and compassion help direct my care.

Scope of care: The initial evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients who require medical, surgical or psychiatric care for acute illness and injury.  Collaboration with specialists and primary care providers to ensure continuity of care once the patient leaves the emergency department.
