Kurt Blankenship is in his 40th year of practicing law as an attorney in Louisiana. His practice focuses on health care, including representation of physicians, as well as national hospital systems and local public service district hospitals in litigation and regulatory matters.
Blankenship recently moved with his wife Jackie permanently to the Coupeville home they have owned for the past seven years.
“I have a wealth of healthcare-related experience from a legal standpoint that I believe will add significant value to my service as a commissioner,” Blankenship said.
“In August 2015, I underwent emergency surgery at WhidbeyHealth Medical Center and remained hospitalized for a week. I was very impressed with the quality of care and service I received and look forward to this opportunity to contribute to that mission as commissioner.”
