Patient and Family Advisory Council

WhidbeyHealth formed its first ever Patient and Family Advisory Council in December 2015. The council champions collaboration between patients/families and providers in healthcare decisions.

Council members work with WhidbeyHealth staff to improve the patient and family experience by providing direct input that results in process improvement.  Please contact the council if you have comments or concerns regarding your experiences with WhidbeyHealth. The council will listen to you and work with hospital/clinic staff to research your issue and provide solutions.

The council's members were selected from a strong pool of applicants, all of whom have had experience as WhidbeyHealth patients or who have provided support to family members when they were hospitalized. The biggest common denominator among the group is that they all have an extraordinary commitment to their community healthcare system.

The council meets once per month at the medical center with Chief Quality and Transformation Officer Linda Gipson, PhD.
