WhidbeyHealth would like to recognize the unwavering dedication and care provided to our community by Dr. Judye Scheidt and Dr. Douglas Dixon. We wish both providers success in their future practices as they take an opportunity to relocate from WhidbeyHealth to advance their careers and be closer to family.
“As a member of the medical staff for thirteen years, I was given this tremendous gift to serve our community,” reflected Scheidt. “This was not an easy decision to make, but I feel confident that Whidbey Island’s health care needs are in the capable and caring hands of my colleagues at WhidbeyHealth.”
“My time spent providing care for the patients of this island have been incredibly rewarding. I’ve always taken the approach of caring for my patients as if they are family. What makes this community special is that they took the same approach and welcomed me as if I was their family,” said Dixon.
Dr. Judye Scheidt will transfer her patients’ care on June 1, 2022. Dr. Douglas Dixon will transfer his patients’ care on April 12, 2022. WhidbeyHealth is actively recruiting providers to replace their positions at our Primary Care offices in Oak Harbor and Freeland. Both Scheidt and Dixon will be involved in the selection process to ensure our patients have the smoothest transition of care.
