Chronic Heart Failure

Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) does not mean your heart has stopped. CHF means the heart is unable to provide the pump action required to maintain the blood flow that the body needs. If you have been diagnosed with CHF, the WhidbeyHealth Life Center offers free classes to empower you and help you create balance in your life.

Reduce Complications
and Potential Readmissions

Learn about the lifestyle changes that can reduce complications of Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) and potentially reduce hospital readmission.

We will provide you with the necessary knowledge to make informed choices about diet, activity, medication compliance and symptom monitoring.

Class is free of charge but by appointment only. Kim Arends, BSN, RN (pictured) presents the program at WhidbeyHealth Medical Center throughout the year.

Please bring your CHF booklet and your medications. This informative class is tailored to meet your personal needs regarding heart health. It is open to those with congestive heart failure or with a history of cardiac disease. Family members and/or support persons are also welcome to attend.
