Nathan Staggs joins the Whidbey Island Public Hospital District (WhidbeyHealth) with an impressive 20-plus year career in senior hospital leadership. He brings with him considerable experience from chief executive officer roles in for-profit and not-for-profit rural acute care hospitals (most recently Northern Texas) across the U.S. Prior to his career in healthcare leadership, he served his community for a decade as a paramedic.

Nathan comes to WhidbeyHealth through HealthTechS3, a healthcare management firm that the hospital district has been engaged with since 2022. He will be leading the continuing work to improve district finances and build community accessibility to health care, while improving upon provider and patient relationships.
