Service Overview

Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering at WhidbeyHealth. The volunteers at WhidbeyHealth are instrumental in helping us fulfill our mission towards compassionate, high quality, and integrated healthcare for residents and visitors of Whidbey Island. Volunteers at WhidbeyHealth use their time, talents, and skills to improve the lives of others.

Volunteers must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old. Proof of minimum age is required.
  • Complete an online application.
  • Complete an interview, background and reference checks and a required medical screening before volunteering.
  • Attend the New Volunteer 4-Hour Orientation.
  • Meet the qualification(s) of an assignment.
  • Be able to commit to a minimum of 4 volunteer service hours per month and for a period of no less than 8 months.

Please note: Assignments are contingent on the openings available at the time you finish all placement requirements.

Please note Volunteer Coordinators are in office 2 days each week and will respond as soon as they are able.
