Dr. Robert Rookstool is a Board Certified Family Physician with extensive clinical and emergency medicine expertise and more than 36 years’ experience, including 13 years as the medical director of the Emergency Department at Island Hospital. He is prepared to treat patients suffering from a wide range of acute illnesses, injuries or conditions.

After completing his residency, Dr. Rookstool served in the US Navy where he achieved the rank of Captain. During his time in the Navy, he practiced family medicine at both the Naval Hospital in Okinawa, Japan, and the Naval Hospital in Oak Harbor, WA, as well as the US Navy Branch Medical Clinic in Everett, WA. After 10 years of active service, he joined the US Naval Reserves, where he served for an additional 15 years.
