Daunne Zinger has a diverse background in fitness, dance, movement and musical theater choreography. She is a certified Aquatics fitness instructor and has taught a variety of water aerobics classes at Island Athletic Club in Freeland since 2007. She is a licensed Zumba Instructor with specialties in Zumba Gold and Aqua Zumba.Daunne received her SAIL certificate in Feb 2020 and is one of the instructors for the SAIL program at Soundview Center in Langley.
Daunne received her Bachelors Degree in Dance from the University of Washington in 2011 with specialties in Integrated Dance and Jazz Dance. She is a certified “Luigi” jazz dance instructor and teaches this technique throughout the Puget Sound Region and offers weekly jazz classes at Island Dance in Langley. She recently introduced a “Zoom” easy stretch/easy dance class at Island Dance and also teaches tap classes at InMotion Studios in Oak Harbor.
One of Daunne’s other interests is in musical theater choreography. She is a resident choreographer for Whidbey Playhouse Theater in Oak Harbor, has choreographed for Whidbey Island Center for the Arts (WICA) and Whidbey Children’s Theater (WCT), both in Langley, and for Oak Harbor High School.
Daunne and her husband, Jerry Bacon, have lived on the south end of Whidbey Island since 2004.
