Carla Jolley, ANP-BC, AOCH, ACHPN, joined the WhidbeyHealth medical team in 1989. As a Palliative Care Advanced Practice Nurse, she focuses on improving quality of life for those coping with serious illnesses. In her role as provider and coordinator for Palliative Care, Carla sees patients and families in the hospital, in outpatient clinics and in their homes. Carla has worked in Home Health and Hospice for more than 30 years and has provided community and clinical education on topics such as advanced care planning, pain and symptom management, palliative care, and end-of-life care.
In 2023, Carla was named as one of five Nurses of Influence and was honored with the Distinguished Practitioner Award by the University of Washington. The award honors a nurse who demonstrates excellence in nursing care, serves as an advocate for patients, families, and/or communities, makes a recognizable difference through their practice, and embodies the essence of the nursing profession.
