How do I sign up?

If you live in Greenbank, Freeland, Langley or Clinton, just follow these steps:

Fill out the Delivery Customer Enrollment Form. This can be completed digitally and saved, or you can print a copy and fill it out it by hand.

Fill out the Home Delivery Consent Form. This can be completed digitally and saved, or you can print a copy and fill it out it by hand.

Send your completed forms to us either via email or regular mail. Or better yet, print them out and bring them in so we can meet you in person!

Who is eligible for the Home Delivery Program?

The delivery area includes Greenbank, Freeland, Langley and Clinton.

Can you bill Tricare insurance? Humana?

No. We are not contracted with either Tricare or Humana. We are contracted with most other insurance companies, however, including Kaiser, United Health, Express Scripts and Premera. We advise you to call the phone number listed on your prescription insurance card and find out directly from your insurer whether we are in your network.

How do I pay for my prescription order?

Payment is required prior to delivery. WhidbeyHealth Community Pharmacy makes it convenient to pay for your prescriptions. As part of your enrollment, your credit card, debit card, health savings card or flexible spending account card information will be stored within a secure system so that we can process your payment without having to collect your credit card information each time you need a refill.

How can my provider send my prescriptions to WhidbeyHealth Community Pharmacy?

Prescriptions can be sent by your provider in three different ways:

  1. Fax new prescriptions directly to (360) 678-7496.

  2. Send prescriptions electronically through an “e-prescribe” system.

  3. Your provider can call the pharmacy at (360) 678-8640.

Once we receive your prescriptions, a member of our staff will contact you to follow up.

Can I get all my prescriptions transferred from my current pharmacy?

Yes, but it is typically faster to have your doctor send us new orders so that we can be sure we are receiving the most current and up-to-date medications and doses. For all maintenance medications, ask your provider to send us prescriptions for a 90-day supply plus refills if possible. Our Medication Synchronization program for maintenance medications ensures that you can receive all your prescriptions on the same day to make it easier to stay compliant and improve your healthcare outcomes.

What online services are available to help me manage my prescriptions?

We offer a variety of online tools to help you manage your medications.

  1. You can access the following features on our website:

    • Order refills online

    • Find specific pharmacy services such as Medication Therapy Management

    • Make a vaccination appointment

  2. You can sign up to receive direct text messages:

    • Check the status of your prescription request

    • Know when your delivery will be sent

    • Find out if your prescription is out of stock, needs prior authorization

    • Communicate in real-time directly with pharmacy staff

  3. You can access the following features through our free PocketRX app:

    • Order refills

    • Review your prescription history

    • Manage your family’s medications

    • Set reminders to take your medications

How do I order future prescription refills or renewals?

How long will it take for prescriptions to be delivered?

Once we receive your request, in-stock prescriptions can usually be delivered within 2 business days. Transfers, authorizations and special orders require additional time to complete. To make sure that you don’t run out of your medications, your maintenance medications can be added to our med-sync program so they will all run out at the same time and can be auto-filled for convenience and increased medication adherence.

Do I have access to a pharmacist when using home delivery?

Yes. Just as for our walk-in patients, our friendly, qualified registered pharmacists are available for consultation by calling (360) 678-8640 during business hours (M-F, 10am to 6pm).

Does someone have to be home for delivery?

Yes. You or a member of your family are required to sign for medications delivered to your home. The courier will not leave medications in a mailbox or on a doorstep. All deliveries require a physical signature or they will be returned to the pharmacy.

Can my neighbor sign for me?

Yes. You can arrange for your neighbor to be at your home to receive the delivery and sign for your medications. However, our courier will not deliver your medications to your neighbor’s home. We must deliver to the address on your patient profile.

What if my medication requires refrigeration or special handling?

WhidbeyHealth Community Pharmacy handles all prescription orders with the utmost care. We have the appropriate quality and safety procedures in place to ensure that all medication is delivered safely, including temperature-sensitive medication. Our courier will transport your refrigerated medications in a temperature-controlled cooler to maintain cold chain requirements.

Can I get medications that are classified as “controlled substances” through home delivery?

Yes. Our courier will require a government-issued ID such as a driver’s license or Military ID at the time of delivery along with a signature. Medications will be returned to the pharmacy if this is not provided at the time of delivery.

Can I get same-day delivery?

No. The pharmacy requires time for processing medications for delivery. We will make every effort to deliver your medications within 2 business days after receipt of the prescription. If you need to start a medication immediately, it is best to come directly to the pharmacy to pick it up.

What if I miss a delivery?

Our courier will leave a notice indicating that an attempt was made, and the prescriptions will be returned to the pharmacy. A second attempt will be made the following day. If you are unable to sign for delivery after two attempts, the medications will be stored at the pharmacy for you to pick up.
